Curtain track parts
Runner (glider, carrier)
A runner is the small part that slides along a curtain track and carries the curtain. Glider and carrier are other names for the same part. We sell curtain runners for wave fold, S fold and pleated curtains, in white and black.
Wheel runner
A wheel runner is a runner that has a wheel, so it rolls along the track. We sell wheel runners for wave fold and S fold curtains. You will find them with the other curtain runners.
Pleat runner (flick stick runner)
A pleat runner is a single runner that carries a pleated curtain on its hooks. The shop also lists it as the runner for a flick stick. It comes for the Standard system and the Streamline system, in white and black.
Motor runner
A motor runner is a wheel runner listed for the Motor Track system. We sell one for wave fold curtains and one for S fold curtains, both in white with 54 mm spacing. They are listed with the other curtain runners.
Runner spacing and fullness
Runner spacing is the distance between the runners of a wave fold or S fold curtain. Fullness is how much extra fabric the curtain has across its width, shown as a percentage. Runner spacing and tape spacing together set the fullness. Our product data gives 54 mm runner spacing with 108 mm tape spacing as 100% fullness, 48 mm runner spacing as 120% and 60 mm runner spacing as 80%.
Wave fold
Wave fold is a curtain heading that hangs in even waves. In this shop a wave fold curtain uses wave fold tape, wave fold hooks and wave fold runners. These parts are listed for wave fold curtains only.
S fold
S fold is a curtain heading that hangs in even S shaped curves. Many people use the names S fold and wave fold for the same look, but the parts are different. In this shop an S fold curtain uses S fold tape, S fold pendants and S fold runners, where a wave fold curtain uses wave fold tape, hooks and runners. S fold parts are listed for S fold curtains only.
Wave fold hook
A wave fold hook hooks into wave fold tape and hangs the curtain from the wave fold runners. It is listed for wave fold curtains only and comes in white and black. See our curtain hooks.
S fold pendant (pendant hook)
An S fold pendant is the small fitting that joins an S fold curtain to its runners. It is listed for S fold curtains only and comes in white and black. Our S fold tape has a pendant spacing of 108 mm. See our curtain hooks.
Pinch pleat hook (heading hook)
A pinch pleat hook, also called a heading hook, hangs a pinch pleat curtain from its runners. We sell silver pinch pleat hooks in five sizes. They are listed for pinch pleat curtains only. See our curtain hooks.
Pin hook
A pin hook is a curtain hook with a pin that pushes into the heading of a pleated curtain. The one we sell is silver and is listed for pinch pleat curtains only. See our curtain hooks.
Pencil pleat hook
A pencil pleat hook hangs a pencil pleat curtain and is used with pencil pleat tape. We sell a silver 28 mm hook that is listed for pencil pleat curtains only. See our curtain hooks.
Curtain tape (heading tape)
Curtain tape, also called heading tape, is sewn along the top of a curtain to form its heading. We sell wave fold tape, S fold tape, a 75 mm pencil pleat tape and a 100 mm pinch pleat tape. Curtain tape is sold by the metre and cut from the roll to the length you order.
Flick stick (curtain wand, draw rod)
A flick stick is a rod that hangs from the leading edge of a curtain so you can open and close it without pulling on the fabric. Curtain wand and draw rod are other names for it. Our flick sticks come in clear acrylic, aluminium and fibreglass from 0.75 m to 2.5 m, each with a metal snap clip at the top. The flick stick buying guide explains how to choose one.
End cap
An end cap closes the open end of a curtain track. We sell curtain track end caps for S20 and C20 tracks. For the R35 round track, the matching part is the end cap finial.
Stopper end cap and end stopper
A stopper end cap is an end cap with a removable stopper. We sell stopper end caps for S15, C15 and S20 tracks in white and black. An end stopper is a separate small part for the end of a track that stops the runners at that point.
Top fit bracket (top fix)
A top fit bracket, also called a top fix bracket, fixes a curtain track to a ceiling. In our product names it is shortened to TOP. Our top fit brackets are for the Standard system and come in white, black and silver.
Face fit bracket (face fix)
A face fit bracket, also called a face fix bracket, fixes a curtain track to a wall. In our product names it is shortened to FF. We sell single, extended and double face fit brackets for the Standard system.
Single face fit bracket (SGFF)
A single face fit bracket fixes to a wall and holds one curtain track. In our product names it is shortened to SGFF. See our curtain brackets.
Extended face fit bracket (SGFF-EXT)
An extended face fit bracket is a single face fit bracket with a longer projection, so the track sits further out from the wall. In our product names it is shortened to SGFF-EXT. See our curtain brackets.
Double face fit bracket (DBFF)
A double face fit bracket fixes to a wall and holds two curtain tracks, one in front of the other. In our product names it is shortened to DBFF. See our curtain brackets.
Bracket cover
A bracket cover fits over a curtain track bracket to hide it. We sell bracket covers for face fit and top fit brackets, and magnetic covers for 40 mm, 45 mm and 60 mm face fit brackets.

A finial is the end piece that finishes a curtain track. Our curtain finials are for the R35 (Round 35) track and come as ball finials, trumpet finials and end cap finials.

Return
A return is the outside edge of a curtain that turns back toward the wall at the end of the track. A return fitting holds that edge in place. We sell a return for S fold curtains and a return for wave fold and pleated curtains, both in white.
Standard system and Streamline system
Standard system and Streamline system are the names this shop uses for its two ranges of curtain track parts. The S15, S20, C15, C20, R35 and R10 tracks are all listed under the Standard system. The Streamline system has its own pleat runner and its own face fit bracket cover. Most of our curtain track parts are for the Standard system.

S15 and S20 are curtain track profiles in the Standard system. The names stand for Square 15 and Square 20. See the parts for S15 track and S20 track. The track listings are 300 mm samples.

Roller blind parts
Roller blind tube
The tube is the round tube that the fabric of a roller blind rolls onto. We list a Standard tube with a 38 mm inside diameter and a Heavy Duty tube with a 43 mm inside diameter, both in mill finish. The roller blind tubes on this site are 300 mm samples.
Chain winder (clutch)
A chain winder, also called a clutch, fits into one end of the tube and turns it when you pull the chain. Its size in millimetres has to match the tube. Our geared chain winders suit tubes with a 38 mm or 43 mm inside diameter, and our RB08 MKII winders are listed to suit S40 and S45 tubes.
Idle end (idler, pin end)
The idle end fits into the other end of the tube from the chain winder and supports that end of the blind. Idler and pin end are other names for it. Each of our chain winders is sold as a pair with its idle end.
Chain
The chain is the loop you pull to raise and lower a roller blind. It runs through the chain winder. We sell stainless steel loop chains in seven drops from 0.5 m to 2 m.
Roller blind bracket
Roller blind brackets hold the two ends of the blind and are sold per pair. We sell single and double roller blind brackets for the Geared system and the RB08 system, a bracket for motors with M40 disc adaptors, and covers for the brackets.
Bottom bar
The bottom bar is the bar along the bottom edge of a roller blind. We sell parts for the oval bottom bar. The bottom bar itself is sold here as a 300 mm sample in silver, matte black and white.
Bottom bar end cap and bumper
Bottom bar end caps close the two ends of the oval bottom bar and are sold as a left and right pair. The bumper is a rubber insert for the oval bottom bar and is sold by the metre. Both come in white, black and grey. See our bottom bar parts.
Child safety lock
A child safety device for a chain operated blind holds the loop chain so that it does not hang loose. The one we sell is the Roller Acrylic Slim Child Safety Lock, a slim clear acrylic fitting for roller blinds.
